This particular form of new synth pop is referred to as Witch House. I've really been digging it lately. It kind of reminds me of the older synth driven Cure stuff, like Japanese Whispers.

Not sure if I've posted this before, but this band is based upon extremely complex occult, hermetic, and philosophical contexts. I've been working out to this song a lot lately, and it has practically put me into some weird, primal, tribal trance. Here it is.

area51 nice, and the other one somehow brought buck rodgers in the 25th century to mind, but its good to see that back in the 80s, they were still expecting occult regime symbolism , pharmaceutical magic etc to still b going down 500 years on , but the musics gone backwards , i wonder where buck is going to stick the red rose
