And much of the moves are counter-intuitive to what professionals would tell you

one of the the greatest feelings there is, when the gut took one on its own path contrary to the pros talk and it proves to be a jackpot for the self, not many can take these chances on their intuition these days .

Yeah slower and conservative is where im aiming for regarding the currency from my extremes of spend in relation to earned in days past Smile

cheers Nickor, have not read him, but have heard many recommend him, will look into his stuff sometimes

Qsc, some really good insights and investing ideas there, worthy of
consideration for what's coming.

And now, for some very, very important reading. Anyone familiar with
Martin Armstrong
, you should be, his writings from prison are critical
for understanding what's coming.

  • Martin Armstrong is currently in prison. Indicted in 1999 on charges of defrauding Japanese investors. He was in jail for seven years for contempt of court before pleading guilty in 2007 to the fraud charge for which he received an additional five year prison term. Armstrong claims his legal problems started when he failed to play ball with "The Club". His imprisonment is one of the longest under a contempt of court order without a trial. Coincidentally, prior to his guilty plea, his final appeal for release (relating to indefinate imprisonment for contempt of court) was denied by (recently promoted) U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

At Martin's site he has an entire listing of his essays being written
from prison on a typewriter a then sent for PDF reproduction. All
current and devastatingly accurate essays on economics, money,
gold, future outcomes, financial conspiracy.

  • Also, Obama was on tv the other day and he said he wanted to take the US citizens IRA's and 401k's etc and in return give the citizens a 5% interest rate long term US government bond. He didn't specify exactly which bond or treasury. The citizens wouldn't have a choice because that's what the government would do

Read Armstrong's work, Marxist economic theories have created nothing
but corruption and theft
and are going to bring us to the precipice of
destruction.

The ONLY way to remedy the situation is war. That is the reality.

I wouldn't touch annuities with a ten foot pole, nor any annuitized 401k's and IRA's - Mandatory "R Bonds", or any of that other flashy bullshit they are peddling.

And right now I wouldn't touch gold as it is volatile. I suspect it is due for a major downturn. Others say it will do the opposite.
I will tend to agree with Nick Guarino's interpretations for the long term trend in gold to go down. And should it go below 500 or even back to 300, which it may...then I would buy some.

Other gold investors say gold will stay high and continue to rise of years to come. They could be right. But it is really expensive to buy it now...it would be better to wait and see if it declines heavily and then try to buy a little just to have on hand for emergency use.

A difficult call to make in the present gold market. It was much easier in 1998 to buy gold because it was actually selling less than the price of production at $265 an ounce. So you know that it has nowhere but up to go and it has done so for twelve years. But at these preseht highs gold is a bit of a risk.

The economy is not going to experience a recession with inflation...
It will be experiencing a depression with deflation...

So now you have to think about Depression economics and that this could last decades...maybe thirty years to get out of this hole.

Priority number one... is to safeguard some form of employment or job at all times. This is the biggest offender right now and it is going to grow. Unemployment is enemy number one. You have to do something to keep the income coming in if you work for a living. Having a job with security against being laid off is high value in these upcoming times. And to be honest with you Rainyday, in my opinion and if it were me, this would be the worst environment to open a new business and even more risky that the business be a restaurant. Not to dissuade your endeavor, but that is just me. Especially if you had to go in debt and take out loans to start it and if also you don't own the building the restaurant is in, but are renting it. All those things are more risky in a depression economy.

Priority number two... is to not have any credit card, consumer or any form of debt. Get out of debt so that if you experience problems, all your stuff won't get confiscated or you won't get buried under late fees and interest. A hole which may be difficult to get out of. Remain out of debt. If you have a mortgage, pay it off, or sell your place and see if renting will actually be more economic for you. Pay off all loans and owe the banks and credit companies nothing.

Priority three...stay out of the stock market or any investments related to the performance of the market. No stocks, mutual funds, money markets, IRA, Keogh, private retirement plans (govt. retirement plans are okay), private pension funds (govt. pension funds are okay), fuck those annuities and all that other paper blah, blah bullshit.

Priority four...stay out of real estate. That shit is dead and will be dead for a long, long time.

Priority five...commodities are now going to be the next bubble to pop. Keep some gold on hand if you bought it cheap and some silver.
But oil is going to tank way down.

Euros will be the best currency to keep. U.S. dollars are also having an upswing, but its future into the year is not so certain.

Prices of goods will start to plummet and stay down for years. Soon, with lots of cash on hand, you can buy many things very cheaply during a full blown depression economy. The next couple years will prove this.
During a depression economy people are consuming, spending and paying less...and this will be for decades to come.
You will have falling prices on goods, but also failing businesses and unemployment. If you are unaffected with employment and have lots of cash...you can buy lots of things dirt fucking cheap in a depression economy.

Priority six...RISING CRIME RATE. This is going to do down...no doubts.
Every woman (and man) should be carrying on their belt (not in a purse of bag) FOX pepper spray. I just bought some for my mom and her sister and a holder with a belt clip and told them they need to start wearing it on their belt at the ready more often. Especially in high risk neighborhoods, while shopping or doing high risk activities where robbery or rape may be more pronounced. Start doing mock drills on how you would use it in a confrontation so that you aren't likely to stress and freeze should an actual attempted assault or robbery takes place. A little rehearsing overcomes the shock and freezing reaction when someone does something atypical to your person. Check laws in your area for pepper spray and carry.
Fox is the best and most powerful brand on the market.
http://foxlabs.com/
Next, carry a legal sized folding knife. And use how to use it should you have to wield it. A knife can really do a lot of damage to an unarmed attacker, but you have to get close and skill is important. But at least have one on you. Check laws.
Next, get a gun for home protection, protection when in your car, protection on your person. My mom just went out a bought a new Glock with some extended clips. She's ready for anything.
These three defense weapons are going to be crucial in the times to come. I cannot stress this inevitability more.

So for now the dollar is on the rise, its future is uncertain...could go up and stay, could tank.
The Euro is the best currency to be in and then probably the Japanese Yen...after that, maybe some German marks.
Some gold on hand is always a good idea but not bought at these high levels. Gold may tank...or may stay in its range for many years to come. This year with tell a lot. I would not want to invest in gold right now, but just have some in case times got tough and I had to use it for money.

Always keep a minimum of six months to one year of expenses in cash in U.S. dollars in a safe at home. Banks may close during a depression and you won't be able to get any of your money out. Have some of your gold at home in a safe. If you have it in a bank safe deposit box, the government can actually confiscate your gold in a depression and then give you devalued dollars in return which would be worthless.

What is good for most people in a depression economy is to put some money into are insured CDs, passbook savings accounts, 90-day U.S. T-bills, the foreign currencies I mentioned, some gold and the six months to one year of expense cash on hand.

More sophisticated investors would now be getting into $10,000 dollar investments of U.S. Government Bonds of 10-20-30 years. but there is no absolute certainty that this is a winning investment. If gold tanks this year, then this investment is a winner, but if gold stays or rises this year then these Govt. Bonds are not so good an investment. This one is speculative but is still a conservative investment with not that much risk. So for those who can afford it, it's not a bad thing to try.

You are right about the chain restaurants. And a loyal customer base in your area with people who can still afford to go out to eat will be good for business.
Commercial real estate has taken a hit, but its biggest hit is yet to come. So if you are in a short-term lease, you may even find that in the future you may get an even better deal on rent.
I truly do wish you the best.

It's getting worse out there. I went into the pharmaceutical business because that's where the jobs are, plus I was thinking of patenting something and giving Big Pharma some ideas. I know, I don't like them at all and am into health but at least I can tell a few of the millions of people on meds the truth and educate them.
And then I might just have to go comepletely self sustainable if things get real bad.

I used to own a small handgun and I've shot a glock and a Ruger? Those guns are really difficult to aim and I cut my finger a little trying to shoot it, don't think a gal could handle it unless they went to the shooting range alot. I would tell your mom to try out it once in a while, quicksilvercrescendo because it is more powerful than it looks. Just by shooting the gun it stuns you the person shooting it, especially for gals and I can imagine a female shooting it, getting the shock back in return and by that time the slim shady could take you over!
It sure would scare someone by the noise though.

I had fun shooting the guns, it really is, but the stress of those big guns and then if actually getting attacked and trying to shoot one of those at the same time would be to much to handle I believe for a gal. So they need to practice, practice, practice....

As for Pluto changing, guess you can look and see what's happening with the Sun.

I have no problem with a glock myself a good all-around low maintenance pistol that can fire if you get mud and water in it.
My mother has a light and a laser site on her gun...so aiming won't be a problem in low light conditions.
She likes the .45 which she can handle for home defense because you can always shoot through a wall should you have to.
For personal carry a lighter caliber she finds to be more agreeable.
Mom also has a Sig Sauer and a Taurus hammer-less .38 revolver. She even has a no old S&W .38 revolver that she says she can use as a "throw away" should circumstances warrant it.
So she is stocked on ammo as well.

Historic analysis of police reports indicate that in most confrontations where a gun is used in self-defense and there has been an exchange where a perpetrator is downed...only two to three shots are fired at most. So in many instances even the reliability of a six shot revolver will cover the average situation nicely.

But with the rise in crime and congealing of societies desperate individuals into groups, I bought her some high capacity clips should she have to lay down some suppressive fire to make a getaway or down multiple targets.

As far as stun guns, there are many out there that just are not powerful enough and are useless pieces of shit.
But there are a few that are and pack quite a punch.
My opinion is to get one that packs the biggest punch.

There are a few that don't necessarily get you with the all-out electric power, but the impulse is designed to interfere with the electrical signals in the perpetrator's own nervous system. It is this disabling power that I would look for in a stun gun.
I haven't updated myself on this technology lately so I would have to do some research to make recos.

quicksilver mastered the nunchaku at the age of ten after seeing a Bruce Lee movie.
Not that I would ever use it in a defense situation for I don't particularly like it as a weapon to be used for defense.
Also mastered throwing knives and hatchets at age 12. Used to design weld my own invented type of throwing stars at age 14.
And had a working knowledge of military hand-to-hand combat, Chinese and Indonesian Martial Arts (Silat, Wu Tong, Animal Styles, Tai Chi. Ching-I, Bagua) and a fine library of books by the real-deal Don Draeger...thanks to my "uncle" who was Special Forces in Southeast Asia. Another, "uncle", was an Army Ranger and Medic...so I got some good field first-aid type tips. So after I break your arms, I can set them for you.
When I was 10, I used to camo pattern spraypaint my airguns and my .22 rifle, place and and adjust scopes etc.
I was a ....different-than-the rest...kinda' kid.

I had always kept a lanyard attached to my keys and can use it as a weapon to the face.
I have actually used a lanyard key ring in a defense situation and it worked nicely. Even spaced-out crack addicts can feel pain from my experience.

I would not count on it to down the opponent permanently but to allow for a longer range strike to confuse or hurt the opponent, thus allowing for a deadly or crippling follow up hand-to-hand technique. Or the following vids show potential trapping/grappling uses.

Last year I purchased an innovation of the lanyard keyring weapon...

A guy innovated the lanyard key ring weapon and the kubaton into one device...the Sharp Shooter...
The sharp shooter is more than just keys with a lanyard on it. It's so unique it has it's own patent. It's actually 3 devices in 1, in closed position it can be used exactly like a kubotan impact weapon. In open mode it can be used much like a steel whip or nunchuku and it has the ability to shoot through the shaft at high speed and hit an attacker, which neither a nunchuku, kubotan, or just a lanyard on keys could do.

In the first following video I would not agree that I would want a Sharp Shooter over a knife...but still a good device to use your common item and often carried keyring into a versatile weapon...

It would perhaps even a better improvement if the shaft were 5 inches long instead of 3 inches in my opinion. As in my clenched hand it gives me a half an inch of shaft on each side of my clenched hand for striking which is ideal. Maybe I should write the guy and see if he can make one up for me. With bit more length on the handle I would experiment with adding a couple more inches of length on the lanyard. But after a certain distance it would get too unwieldly.
The key ring does allow you to open your hand to grab the opponent without losing the keys of the weapon, so you can still do an open palm strike or grab with the weapon in that same hand. And the way the ring is on the rig, it can't really be used against you by breaking your finger if someone grabs the keychain.

Also good to keep five, six up to ten coins in your pocket as if you are face-to-face with someone giving you trouble and is about to give you no choice but get physical...then you can reach in your pocket, pull out your coins and fling them into their face/eyes as you move in for the kill. The coins will blind them for a brief moment and usually cause their hands to go up to their face to protect the eyes...thus exposing the soft-underbelly and groin region...and with that....I can finish them quick.

If you smoke, then flicking a lit butt in someone's face can do the same. Or a handful of dirt or small gravel snatched from the ground.

The only rule in steetfight is to remain unscathed and always flee if you can get away rather than confront, because someone usually fucking with you has some type of "advantage" that you may not know about...like a blade...or "friends".

  • quicksilver mastered the nunchaku at the age of ten after seeing a Bruce Lee movie.

qsc, couldn't help but laugh at this opener. Remember how I use to
drive people just nuts when I referred to myself in the third person
on the old board? Those were the days.

Hey, while we're on the topic of shooting, violence, self-protection,
firearms, self-defense, anyone see this case in which this woman
(wife of the man in the video) is 'stripped searched' by male and
female officers?

Don't really know how to interpret this, who is a fault here, apparently
the woman called the police when a fight broke out with her cousin/s,
she produced a driver's license of her deceased cousin and then all hell
breaks loose.

If you watch the video, the sheriffs policy is to have only female officers
do the strip search, yet, there are two female and two male officers
present and the woman is clearly distraught and humiliated.

All kinds of questions here, even though it was two years ago. The cops
never informed her she was going to be strip searched, I mean, strip
searched for what, she's handcuffed. After being stripped, she is left
in the cell for six hours naked.

If it was my wife and she was humiliated like this, I would in every way
possible make these people pay for the rest of their lives if I didn't at
first come through the front door of their sheriffs department guns blazing.
It really is hard to get a grip on what America has become, it's not even
civilization anymore, it's like a movie, a horror movie at best.

Geezuz, there's a female cop walking behind them video taping the entire
fucking episode and it's not presented as evidence or for their own defense?

Cops are such flunkies. Have they ever fucking produced anything in their lives,
like build a home, put in plumbing, start a company, live in a foreign country for
three years or more, attend further education after becoming a saprophyte on
society and then collect a pension, anything of any real value to anybody?

Personally, I think Americans should start taking law enforcement into their
own hands, a sort of volunteer community self-protection type of
arrangement. Most cops shouldn't be cops, they are ex-military, almost
totally unemployable at other professions, they don't have skills and from
what I've seen are becoming a serious threat to Americans.

All cities in America should start passing legislation, no person over the
age of twenty-one with mandatory firearms training should be unarmed.

Thanks flames, can't wait to hear that!

tgII, cops can't be trusted nowadays. And if you want to report someone don't go to the cops. They will go after you, because they work for the criminals.
I was driving 7 hours straight by myself and I got pulled over and the cop said I was speeding. I was so tired and he really upset me because I wasn't doing that. I just wanted to go, so I told him to give me the ticket and I took off. And then when I called in there was no ticket on file. He was waiting for me to solicit him obviously, they can't get in trouble that way. Well they never do regardless.
Or it could have been lost paperwork.

Oh and people have nothing better to do than report each other and butt in others business. They have been well trained. Everything has to be done by the ten commandments and whatever else sick and idiotic rules (the new ones are outrageous, they have taken away what little rights america had when formed) they have got for us, otherwise you get in trouble just for taking care of your own business and trying to do the right thing.
