Alone among the Environments series, "Tintinnabulation" is not natural sounds at all but a series of computer-generated bell sounds playable at any speed from 16-2/3 to 78 RPM. The CD reissue opted for the 16-2/3 RPM speed.

Sorry, I couldn't find any streaming audio of this to share with you. But I wanted to comment on the power of this recording. I recently heard this on an internet radio show. It's an hour long track (not 30 mins like the above quote implies) of these digitized bell tones. I remember listening to this for the first time in the background as I was going about my internet browsing, and I became unaware that it was even playing after a certain point.

At some point about thirty minutes in I became conscious of how deep of a trance I had been in. There is something so bizarre and creepy about this recording that I cannot even begin to put into words. If you are into ambient music to totally space out to, this is a good place to start.

I was listening to it earlier today and it's interesting to contemplate the state my mind was in under this hypnotic spell, as it were. If you want to shut down your racing thoughts, if you have trouble with an overactive mind that wears itself out after days of constant thinking, listening to these computer generated bells will pretty much take your psyche to a vacation resort, to a place of rest.

A very high energy band when playing live. Same song as above as this one. They have two girls who dance on stage with machetes, fire and dress up as the devil or monsters too!
