The following is only one of the Bible passages showing Jesus teaching reincarnation to his disciples:

And the disciples asked him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"

But he answered them and said, "Elijah indeed is to come and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also shall the Son of Man suffer at their hand."

If it is really true that this Jesus was for real, and taught the importance of reincarnation, I wonder what good he really did, given the fact that it is not accepted in standard Christian theology. If this is all true, I wonder why it would have been worth it for him to come to Earth in the first place, because obviously his words fell upon deaf ears.

It didn't take long for his teachings to go completely and utterly unnoticed. If he was for real, then he must have known that this specific teaching would be manipulated by sinister forces, perhaps he was meaning to just plant the seed.

I would like someone to start up a thread specifically about Reincarnation, in respect to HighNoon's thread, I wouldn't want to highjack it. All I have to say about reincarnation is that I have always had these deep intuitive drive within me to read as much as I can about it, because a lot of it hits me in a weird way.

I've never had any recall of a past life, but I've said to people many many times: "feels like I've been through this one before many many times." I know a lot of people experiencing similar phenomena. It really isn't too far outside of the box for me to entertain the idea. Unfortunately all of the information I receive about the subject comes completely solitary.

No one will talk to me about this subject due to dogmatic reasons. As a former Christian I am open to entertain the idea of karma, and certainly feel a sense of responsibility now that I have become open minded enough to expand my horizons.

I have always known that I have a specific purpose for living out this existence, and it certainly has nothing to do with living a lukewarm/mediocre life. Even Jesus warned of mediocrity in his teachings, yet look at all of the mediocre hacks running around claiming to follow him.

I think Fear is the ultimate blocker that has caused the subject of reincarnation to be looked at by many intelligent people. There is just too much fear in this world and in the lives of men to open up to such an idea on a globally conscious basis, but maybe that will change. I suppose it won't be until science makes a peer reviewed case in proving reincarnation as a real phenomena would people shed enough fear to even consider.

I believe much of the "eastern" concepts were removed from the knowledge streams as the Bible was being assembled and edited for production.
Astrology left out or disguised and then demonized.
Reincarnation or references to it seriously edited, disguised or minimized.

Flames, I guess since one is born with a clean slate, a person has to rely on the imagination to find answers. Since we are taught nothing, just mostly fear based things.
Fear has kept me from learning about reincarnation or meditation so much so that before I never thought much about them.
Another thing to rely on is one's own experiences. Yeah that's important. For me, I have figured that reincarnation is real, and it happens in different ways. I've had my own experiences as I"m sure everyone has.

And I think that realms, maybe universes collide. It's funny how things move. In certain parts of the world, you have beings who may have lived here hundreds of thousands of years ago, slip into this realm. And one may just see them appear and disappear. So in a way, it's a few seconds or minutes reincarnating here and then going back. There must be a name for that.

True. Now that I think about it, the very core of the Christian belief is this: "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

So now I don't understand how there can be Christians who follow the creed of Christ according to his word, and believe in reincarnation. Jesus makes it all very black and white, quite literally.

It's basically, *You believe that this man, Jesus is the son of God, was crucified, was raised from the dead, and for whatever reason, died for your sins, because you were born a dirty sinner, all because God the Father loves you*

The obvious problem I have with this is the idea of God having to impregnate a "feeble" woman (Mary), to bring about a sinless man (according to God's standard), to show mankind how unworthy he (mankind) is, but apparently, God loves man so much, that he would send his only begotten son to Earth, to die for man's future sins, that he can never overcome himself.

According to that doctrine, that is how you apparently approach Godhead, eternally. By declaring one is unworthy in the presence of God, and must be redeemed by confessing faith in Christ. This shit just isn't my style.

I'm just stating the obvious, regarding Christian faith. Modern day protestant teachings pretty much state their belief pretty clear: "you accept Jesus, you go to heaven forever", "you reject Christ, you perish in Hell forever", no in between, according to their doctrine and creed.
That very black and white painting is what I have had a huge problem with all along.

With all due respect to the religion of Christianity, there isn't much sanity to found if one objectively considers what's being said there. But when you are dealing with people who cast aside objectivity and replace that with faith, then you are going to go nowhere in that conversation. There is something missing, too many holes.

Closing this current post, tying it back to reincarnation...

Reincarnation seems to me, to be about the idea of Universal Karma. One becomes their own savior by steering their own soul over lifetimes (not one), to attain Godhead. This makes at the very least, moral sense to me, but I'm not totally sold on what the hell I believe, yet. As I mentioned earlier, Fear must be overcome. Fear must be overcome completely for one to get to the healthy paranoia of even dealing with eternal destinies, and eternal decisions. That's my opinion.

Yeah, I've read about that too. So is it safe to say that the literal reason for the Jesus Christ myth was cooked up for a means to simply put masses of people on a spiritually misleading path? Fuck, is that ever diabolical. Just so everybody knows, I am aware of the manipulations of the bible, and the comparisons of Yahweh to even older god figures of antiquity. I just can't figure out why, if this is true, mankind hasn't figured this all out by now.

I think Enki might be added to that list too, the trickster. This stuff can get really confusing, and usually at the end of the day, I don't know what to think. Joseph Farrel's Cosmic War does a good job of explaining a lot of this disinformation, and I've heard that Tsarion's Irish Origins books go into this in detail.

Speculating: If the soul exists, and is indeed immortal, there must be a sinister reason why it isn't widely known in the West. Farrell, in his writings talk about "templates", TG and I have talked about this a little bit privately. I'm curious if it has something to do with the immortal soul, and the ability of it being captured by sinister forces and used for diabolical means, against man's free will in the Universe. Like a sort of battery, so to speak.

Control is exhibited through the three mono-theistic Abrahamic religions by theft, rescripting and editing to produce a...SALVATION-based religion and liturgy.
The idea of reincarnation for anyone else other than their Jew Son-of-God-myth-paraded-as-truth character would empower one not to embed themselves into the control matrix of salvation-based religions. Think of all the mind control and profits to be lost...can't have that.
