Phenomenal Feats of Strength , Endurance and Courage

The North Face of The Eiger - One of the most difficult and notorious mountain climbs in the world , first climbed by a german team in 1938 , took around 3 days , many have tried and died on the face over the years



Now this guy UELI STECK speed climbs this deathtrap in under 3 hours without much of the safety apparatus of most climbers, a stunning feat of endurance , strength, skill , dedication , willpower , sheer nutcaseness and the fools come eccentrics courage , one of the few physical feats that really blows my mind

Was thinking of the same phenomenal feats of mankind, Kapis. Amazing and inspiring beings who continue to surpass "records" and limitations. Great to see your thread!

I'm horrified of heights, but great video. he knows his abilities very well to even consider that. its too bad that mountain will kill lesser climbers, and some people won't actually know how good they really are until they find themselves falling. also important to climb on a good day and watch the forecasts lol.

Some very impressive ones there , was trying to think of the last time i did something really daring , used to solo climb very tall trees when younger right up to the top , no ropes no strings tried a glider , well i drive fast a lot but I'm used to that (: i just don't have the need to take extreme physical risks

Thought this was a pretty cool feat of ability and wasn't sure where to post this...as a side note on the so called shark tonic. From what I've read about it before, it was actually a woman who first discovered this in the Bahamas, but you don't hear of this for whatever reason. Whatever, here is a guy who can amaze with accents...

I watched this one live as it happened earlier, the build up was quite emotional if you knew about the history of the attempt , his mother crying as he went up and the tension building as he prepared to open the capsule door ariound 23 miles above the earth, the onlty thing keeping him alive was his pressurised suit, at one point , he looked like his hand was shaking from nerves, and when the ground control asked him how he was , he didnt speak , just put the thumb up, maybe a well of emotion before the leap, then he goes , hits the speed of sound, not long after , the biggest threat begn, he started spinning , there was a special antiparachute built in that would go off if he span out of control, but somehow this guy kept it cool and re straightened himself, although he did pll his main shute earlier than planned , he landed and was fully comprehensible

Amazing display of courage and the tension of watching it live cant be matched , hopefully someone will upload the full clip soon , all covered in brilliant hd footage earlier

Even that version is not as clear as the version i recorded sputnik which shows in detail when the great danger point occured , his body started spinning, this could have boiled his blood leaving him unconscious quickly as the blood thrown up and down at great velocity . he had a third emergency chute that i believe would have went off automatically if his body went out of control in a spin ,, when he started spinning, i think everyone watching live started fearing the worst, but by great skill and concentration under the highest of stresses, he managed to "somehow" regain control of his body in high speed freefall and slowed the spin, but then what occured was they were talking to him during the drop , and he sort of murmured something just before he pulled the normal chute early which in retrospect was stated that he said his visor was steaming up so he pulled the chute early, but what i think may have happened is that the spin phase , added to the initial adrenal drop phase may have brought him very close to unconsciousness or disorientation and when he pulled that chute early , it wasnt because his visor was steaming, it was because he knew he was a state of disorientation that he had to do it then, but all credit to this austrian for displaying the highest order of bravery in the name of the truly great creative science (although some would call it extreme stupidity) (: but the view from his angle as he stares down at the earth globe before jumping into a possible death was truly a moment in history

Right after I made that post about santa and the pope i just felt like watching some muhammed ali interviews cause kapis posted about what ali said about racial mixing recently.

so i came across this interview and noticed ali said that TWICE a gunman came to kill ali and TWICE a gunman had the gun ready to shoot and then foamed at the mouth and died on the spot. SPONTANEOUSLY

why wasnt this invesigated. in any sense, how could this be achieved by a spy agency or by supernatural ways?

I had too watch the complete thing to get to the info at the end, but the first half is a lesson in his comedy skills and organic individual wisdom and signs of a little bit of stupidity, its one of the most dramatic interview of all time , a person would never get away with saying what clay does here in present times

Regarding the gun incidents, hard to say, is he kidding or serious , im not sure

quite good how he recited that poem and managed to show up the parkinson character on his bugner negative bias , also mae a fool of himself on a couple issues where the park character was morec correct, but all in all a much more interesting view than the dosh that passes for celebrity interviews these days, definetly a case of involution in that avenue
