Christopher hitchens
Wanted Kapis' perspective on the guy, since you might have had to see/hear more from him due to you both being from the uk. Do you have any concerns about his appearances and debates over the years?
I do. I just feel like he was another staged pundit who promoted homosexuality, the iraq war, iran being dangerous, and being anti anything spiritual. He got a lot of air time and reinforced a lot of belief systems that the ptb would want the average person to adhere to. Watching a 2007 interview and him being concerned with iran just didnt agree with me, it feels like he was on the airwaves to fearmonger under the disguise of having his opinions seal approved because of his IQ , and that he could communicate his ideas with such intellectual prowess.

Christopher Hitchens desensitized a growing public awareness against
water boarding. "Just drop the steel hand held slug to the floor and
we'll stop the procedure."

Re: Christopher hitchens
There are some interesting comments on his wiki page , and a confirmed malebutt prober so i can't consider his values too keenly , Finally, he was taken out of the physical equation early in a godless undignified finale, therefore this tells me there was some unholy conflict between his physical emotional spirit and his intellectual soul (not really an improved template for a healthy future human )
I heard him a few times, and he was definitely what the establishment term "intellectual superior" but he was always put on against lesser intellectual figures of similar ilk , i never saw him debate against anyone who was not university conformed, although thats probably because television and radio stations don't allow non university educated people to come onto their channels unless that person is an open convert to their place in the pecking order of merits
Looks like the man could of been baptised in malta hmmm

But to my mind, what he did with that concept was fall into the same trap as the dogmas he was so opposed to, by the process of closing the circuit, so to speak.
this highlights the point i was really considering myself flames , no belief is foolproof in its certainty , i think because the human is a purveyor of several different languages of expression and impressions
When hitchens was going down, he couldn't even take the perverse pleasure of cursing the God Mystery , i wonder really how he consoled himself without the crutches of god, fate , destiny etc
Re: Christopher hitchens
Good observations flames , and it seems to be par for the course that intellectual dominated people appear to be unhappy maybe because they are analysing every angle at every moment, happiness has to surprise them through the medium of complex intellectual perception and then they can be very happy if only for a short moment
i was thinking of a couple questions to put to hitchens about the human subconscious communion with the beyond , but to be fair, i dont know hitchens exact stance on the god phenomena , did he completly rule out inner and outer dimensional intelligence or did he just rule out the childrens story bearded vengeful god , i guess id have to read his books to be sure
but it is a waste of human creative resource , because someone like him should have been regularly pitched against public religious propositioners like herr pope , dalilamba, towelheads etc to see what form of interesting wisdom came out of the 2 opposing views for humanitys benefit in self-awareness and knowledge of the beyond that

Hitchens was a tool. I mean that in the same way Bill Baher is a tool. When sopa was still undecided, Bill maher had a monologue about sopa that was pro sopa, but it was done with the same tone of voice and mocking manner that he makes fun of christianity with. its just creepy to me that hes such a professional at being himself, that any line of reason could come out of his mouth, and he could add wit and humour and analogies, and sopa just seems reasonable and you feel unreasonable just thinking that maher could be wrong. but his guests on his show were anti sopa because the three of them were from the online economy sector and made maher look stupid. it gets even more complicated when you watch maher and hear him preface sopa with "i dont know anything about sopa, but this is what i think of piracy". people can just forgive maher because they can write off that hes wrong as a matter of ignorance. but if he prefaces his monologue with that information on purpose just to later give him an excuse, then things become very dangerous to a viewer paying attention to media.
people applaud hitchens for his rhetoric. but thats exactly what i feel is what makes reality false. i just dont get hitchens significance or why he appeared on canadian, american, uk and probably australian and other media channels on big name shows. i dont think reality needs mysterious intellectuals persuading public opinions with rhetorical psuedo logic. he had to have made a few million people fear iran in the middle of the last decade. and just for that. he's a piece of shit.
and another problem i have with the guy or even other people who like him, is that they miss him because he made them laugh. its not even about his views or if hes pushing agendas. its just...well i laughed at his observations and now hes gone..so i miss him....wtf??
or even how some people dont agree with everything he says, but agree mostly. doesnt anyone but me think his opinions are meant to appeal to people? he's supposed to fire 5 out of 6 cyclinders with people, that 1 that doesnt is there to give the illusion of his individuality, or help personify or legitimize his act.
I dont think its random at all that late night talk shows are almost always hosted by a former stand up comedian. its because of a standup comedians observational skills.
hitchens is like a gypsie wandering high brow dry wit comedian. and what he does from my eyes and opinion, is an act. he didnt have his own show, and i dont think he ever went on any nations late night talk shows, but he appeared on legitimate shows like the larry kings of the world. or 60 minutes or whatever. if you want to have a laugh, you watch leno, but if you want to "learn" something, you watch larry, larry king has the real scoop on reality. :O

Watch this video by Christopher Hitchens. Pay attention to the video footage of Saddam
Hussein when he publicly purged opposition when he seized power. How did Saddam
Hussein know these individuals by name? Watch beginning at the 1:34 point in the video.
Very chilling.
The central committee of the Bath Party purges opposition. Again, how did they know these
men were opposition?
How did they know these individuals by name? Did they know because PROMIS software
was sold to the Iraqi's and that's how they were able to identify them? Unknown to the
opposition in Iraq a backdoor was programmed into PROMIS when the software
was sold to the Iraq's, and Saddam Hussein was placed in the Bath Party by foreign
intelligence services.
That is fucking bone chilling watching those Iraqi men being singled out and then escorted
out directly to the concrete wall out back. Now, in 2012 jus imagine for a moment what
kind of a 'purge' of dissidents and opposition could be done today in the most ruthlessly
efficient way possible. Hope everyone likes technology now?

Was just checking out IBMs latest world record (Public ) supercomputer, whilst the average joe is sitting at home with their quad-core PC and thinking , yeah man this is fast , IBMs Sequoia has 1.5 million cores pretty stunning computation power and speed and memory capability , Now the question is, at what stage of development in power speed and memory , will the supercomputer actually develop its own identity and start giving itself orders , first order , take out its creators and programmers , it knows everything about them from its data banks
