One in Nine people in Scotland now officially propped up by anti-depressants , prozac etc , not to mention the unofficial figures that also are fixated on alcohol and other drugs

Last year in the uk , official prescriptions of anti-depressants outstripped penicillin

Scotland = 4.6 million prescriptions
England = 39.1 million Prescriptions
Wales = 3.5 million prescriptions
Ireland = no figures available

In anyones money, thats a whole lotta finance been generated for drug

And to add to the depressions ...the official flu season has begun ...and winters back again Shocked santa

650,000 children in the uk are using (being prescribed by the experts) this mind altering drug = METHYLPHEMIDATE HYDROCHLORIDE otherwise known in its family safe friendly alias as RITALIN and users are taking stronger doses as they become tolerant and need more like any authentic junkie

These drugs which are every bit as harmful, actually even worse so , than their illegal street counterparts are being sanctioned by "Professional people seen as the pillars of society"

Side effects include chest pains, hair loss, palipations, stunted growth, insomnia, rapid heart rate, skin rashes, dizziness, anxiety, paranoia and suicidal tendencies

Yes your friendly health service are taking real good care of you and your future , if you have one, because if you dont end up jumping of a bridge etc , then you will absolutely become a pharma customer for life, as they have got so many custome designed pills that alter minds , hearts and wills, that you will not possibly b able to exist without them , and the worst part is that you wont blame the prescribers for this, you will just feel that you are too weak minded to continue without their "assistance and guidance "

Kapis, I was actually going to post this in the psychopath thread, but since I
noticed the comment connected to RITALIN posted this here.

I used to have a blog I set up three years ago (subsequently taken down)
dedicated specifically to posting everything I could get my hands on related to
psychopaths including many very good Youtube videos done by researchers.

Then this morning, I read this:



Please read this essay; it is very sobering saying essentially psychopathic
behavior can be detected in children even at the age of 3 and that there
is no cure.

Its a very dangerous game prescribing any mind-altering drug, and it seems very probable that these drugs would feed the condition known as psychopathy

And psychopaths can often be used by very crafty people to serve their will

Definetly a worthy subject to keep monitoring and studying TG , outside the narrow bandwidth of the media and institutional spoon-fed conventional speel on it

We've had several as prime ministers and presidents in recent times

I feel for any young dude or dudette getting fed these prescriptions cause their future is going to be a tough road

I take a very detailed health history of new clients when the come to see me for massage and and manual therapy.
Amazing how many are on some type of psychotropic, ritalin or lithium.
And none seem interested in finding a way to get off these drugs...they are just accepted like candy.

The natural remedies for depression that work on my patients

Oriental medicine uses several natural remedies for depression that are very helpful. These include acupressure (or acupuncture), diet, herbs, exercises, lifestyle modifications and massage techniques.

Due to the limitations of a website, I can't give you all the natural remedies for depression used on my patients, but you will most likely find these very helpful given enough time and dedication.

The best place to start is by:

Stopping the causes

Obviously, your depression will just continue unless you stop doing whatever it is that causes your depression.

I know that seems obvious, but we're conditioned to look for "something to fix us" (pills, for example), rather than look at why we have the problem in the first place.

So, it's time to stop causing your depression. If you look at the causes I listed on the Natural depression cures page , you'll see the main causes are:

Over-contemplation (worrying, or just thinking too much)
Unhappiness / Long -term anger or frustration (in the family, relationships, work, etc.)
Too little exercise
Constitution
Poor diet
Excess sex
(yes, there is such a thing!)
Overwork
Drugs

These lead to:

Your energy (or "Qi" as the Chinese call it) getting stuck, primarily in your chest. ??????
Phlegm (fluid that collects and condenses in your body, blocking energy form reaching your brain.) You may even notice phlegm in your lungs, throat, sinuses or stools.

These are things you have control over.

And you probably don't realize how much they are affecting you.

So this means you have to:

Stop worrying
Stop thinking so much
Get lots of exercise
Eat the right diet
Stop engaging in excess sex
Don't overwork
Don't do drugs (you'll ultimately need to get off any pharmaceuticals, too. They cause internal changes that lead to depression).
Build up your weak constitution through healthy living and eating, appropriate exercise and correct lifestyle.

And, it's best to do these a.s.a.p. before the stuck energy or phlegm become "hardened." (i.e. chronic, tough to get rid of.)

To accomplish this, here are my recommendations:

(I use these natural remedies for depression in my clinic with good results.)

Upper body exercise that move the energy / Qi in your chest. Do it as soon as possible when depression sets in. This includes:

Push-ups
Rowing exercises/machines
Hitting a punching bag

and other exercises that emphasize the chest muscles.

Deep breathing exercises. This can powerfully move the energy in your chest.

Do strong "belly-laughing." as well as forceful crying. You probably already know how good you feel after a hard laugh or a good cry.

Get a chest massage. You don't need a professional, you just need someone to gently rub your chest to move the blood and energy stuck there.

Meditation. It's the absolute best method for stopping over-thinking and worrying. You can take a class, read a book on it or learn it online, but the basis is simple.

It's like practicing any skill - the more you do it, the better you get. One day you'll find your emotions stay very level and your mind is calm.

Note - do not underestimate the power of meditation. There's a very good reason why millions of people all over the world have practiced it for hundreds of years. It works.

Follow "Chinese Dietary Principles." This is especially important if the depression is due to "Phlegm".

Eat a diet composed primarily of:

Cooked vegetables (fresh, lightly cooked, big variety) For now, forget what you've heard about eating lots of raw vegetables
Whole grains (brown rice, buckwheat and millet are all good)
Animal protein (small amounts, more like a condiment than a main course)
Water (room temperature - green tea is o.k. for most of us, too.)

To get good effect, stay away from everything else until you recover, especially:

Dairy
Sweets
Cold foods
Fruit juices
Oily-greasy foods.

This way of eating will reduce the phlegm in your body to help resolve depression, as well as promote general well being.

Acupressure (can be very effective.)

Apply medium pressure to cause slight aching (never painful), for a minimum 60 seconds / 3 X day, with your finger, thumb or knuckle to:

Pt.1 - Located on the little finger side of the crease of your wrist, just medial to the tendon you feel at the edge of your wrist.

Pt 2 - Find it by putting your left thumb on the top of your left ear, your right thumb on the top of your right ear and touching your index fingers together on top of your head. Feel for the hollow near the top center of your head.

Pts. 3 and 4 - one inch in front of and behind Pt. 2.

Pt. 5 - Directly between your eyebrows. This point calms your emotions and relieves depression.

Pt. 6 - In the middle of your sternum, level with the space between the fourth ribs (between the nipples if they are not sagging). Excellent for all types of emotional problems.

This is only a small (but effective) part of the natural remedies for depression I use.

I've got plenty more natural remedies for depression to treat you with, as well as instructional programs you can use on yourself at home.

My goal is to make these natural remedies for depression known and available to everyone. Health doesn't belong to doctors. There's no reason for you to suffer when there's effective natural remedies for depression available.

I've used these natural remedies for depression on (and taught them to) doctors, professional athletes, celebrities, teachers and other professionals like you. They use them because this works.










over the years when ive felt stressed ive taken my fist and rubbed my knuckles over my abdomen and chest overtop my t-shirt to kindof just invigorate myself when ive had a heavy heart, whatever that means.
and i just for fun typed "rubbing your chest to cure depression" because i was bored behold...theres information out there about the chest being involved in chi buildup.

i hate to be a douche and be like...i figured this shit out by listening to my body or somesuch. but its true..i listened to my body, masssaged everywhere and always found that my chest and abdomen when played around with made me feel the most improved afterwards.

why does chi buildup there? does this have anything to do with supposedly our organs having neurons and somekind memory capacity.

That is interesting Highnoon. And I would have to say a raw diet is very important to do once in a while, it really can do wonders for you.
I'm thinking of finding some colloidal gold or ormus and trying that. I have been out of it for awhile.

YEah excellent info on the stress theory , i do think it collects in the chest initially as well

But on depression as a whole and the way western society currently spins this monster pharma money spinner , basically the masses are fed the illusion that they should be happy most of the time and if not , then thy have a problem , they might just be depressed , and then they are "Not Well"

If its thought about in a logical observation and reflection of real time existence and even interpreted from a spiritual meta perception , in both cases , depression is normal and to be expected to come some time to everyone , so then the real problem , is not that someone is depressed , but that they have become stuck in a depressed state , and there will either be reality based reasons for that or metaphysical reasons for that , and i think its very obvious that mr chemist will not have the tools nor the answers to that problem , but they will have plenty of sweeties to help you avoid facing that little personal equation that is made only bigger and bigger by self-ignorance towards it

And as we have a society of creatures being predominantly conditioned into an EXTROSPECTIVE model, they lack even the basic introspective skills that would allow them to tackle their own dilemmas with the help of other wise souls in these areas

The healthy self educated being really requires a controlled balance of introspection and extrospective skills which allows them to view the problem and the solution to their own dilemnas without being sucked into the game of fear which makes you feel you have to put your psychic sanity into the hands of some one dimensional spiritless ponce in a white coat

Depression just may be a cry from the depths of the soul that you are tending to hurt yourself and start searching for the why

First stage rational question for someone whos in a depressive spell

What proportion of your existence is assigned to genuine interests as opposed to compulsion or duty ?

1.What proportion of time in your daily/weekly existence is taken up by compulsions = drink . drugs , masturbation, gluttony , introspective self pity / hatred
2. What proportion of time in your daily /weekly existence is taken up by duty = job you have to do , family commitments etc
3. What proportion of your daily / weekly existence is actually taken up by things that interest you and bring joy

2nd stage question


Can you identify the area of concern that is making you depressed, is it tangible or intangible ?
If tangible , what is stopping you trying to change the parameters of it ?
If intangible , are you ready and willing to address further inquiry into your private life to see what may be revealed ?

Latest estimates in uk for depression are 500% up since the 1950s and actually Doubled during the early years of the thatcher era

There could be something very deep and sinister going down here , not just chance , during the thatcher era, when she was selling of all the national assets to private concerns , the moment that capitalism itself entered its own delusion without restriction , the buzz words were freedom , open market and the private individual making it big on their own ... the american dream Very Happy

Once this new deal had sunk into the uk mindset, things started to change in the psychology of the citizen, more and more people abandoned any sense of community and it was now me me me , this could be documented by the diminishing communication between neighbours, people became complete strangers to those that lived next door to them for years , that was a conscious choice from a higher level of imposed assumed regalship

The uk citizens were literaly overnight parachuted into a forced individuation , without the individual skills and mindset to cope with this new experience of consciousness

The result was new generations of individuals born into a world where their parents and teachers were literal individual cripples propped up with delusions of social/financial grandeur and pills , and also carrying a large shadow of helplessness on their shoulder (from their obvious failure in the deluded dream) that they dare not expose to their children , although it was written all over their soul

Obviously this is a subject requiring deep and extensive research, but in a nutshell , metaphysically speaking, the thatcher era , forcefully picked up the uk population and flew them to a great height then parachuted them out over the north pole naked and said, there you go, keep yourself warm citizens,you individual wannabee yuppies

But what they never told them , was that only a few muttheads could aquire yuppie status because it was a system based on minority rule
And even these yuppies were still unindividuated mutts serving the higher hound-dog

The rest are currently propped up on medical pills and delusions of grandeur, sort of like the earlier american experiment

In scotland , they (deemed with mental problem) are given a flat , with all mod cons, payment benefits , and a regular carer , the carer visitation periods proportional to the deemed mental condition by said expert that will also regulate pill management
Its ceertainly open to abuse, but theres always a danger for anyone sane putting on an act, it could end up messy like jack nicolson in cuckoos, the seriousness of someone else being in charge of ones mental health cannot be understated or underestimated , its potentially much worse than being in jail

But its very worrying how they are eagerly dishing out pills to people who confess themselves to be depressed , which in itself is a phenomena definetly on the increase and not being dealt with in any healthy way by society because pills are the easy perfect profitable way out of that problem
