It's a "Western" thing. Techno-pills for the masses.
Norway has a small population of only about 4.8 million...
But recent articles and stats point at about one in five using anti-depressants or abusing pain medications.
Another additional 400,000 are getting, or currently need, professional psychological help.

Let's shit and chat; yeah, IG Farben has progeny in the pharmaceutical industry and the criminal psychopaths running the FDA.
Now over to TG on the drug carnage in Japan...
Tight relationship between doctors, the hospitals and the drug companies; drug counters at hospitals where drugs are dispensed look like lines for free circus rides. Not sure on the psychoactive drugs sold here.

Yeah that would add a little something, but still so, this forum is just fine as it is.
I've seen a few other forums and read up, just don't have time to make time to post anywhere.
Gosh Flames, why can't I vent about my family life and the mundane!!Why!!
Just kidding!

Re: THE CHITCHAT ARENA
You guys will like this one, as if this earthquake and meltdown in Fukushima isn't already more than I can handle.
...driving my car on an errand here in Tokyo a couple of days ago driving well below the speed limit always anticipating someone will come out of no where.
...so, as I'm driving along a long straight narrow road parallel to some rail tracks on my way to my destination, I came to a T-intersection with a red car coming in the opposite direction driven by an older Japanese man. On the other side riding on the wrong side of the street, was an older Japanese man on a bicycle coming from the same opposite direction as the red car; the stupid dip shit shouldn't have been riding his bicycle there in the first place.
...so I slowed down to make room for everyone when all of a sudden out of know where, as I was slowing down to give room for the car coming in the opposite direction and the dip shit old man on the bicycle, a Japanese woman runs through the stop sign and hits me in my car broadside, I mean, wtf? She didn't have a clue as to why she ran through the stop sign without stopping and checking the reflective mirrors to make sure no cars or bicyclists were coming down the road.
...have the Japanese lost it, are these people in meltdown? The lady didn't have anything coherent to say, her hands were shaking and she was beside herself trying to apologize for being so stupid; she didn't know what to do concerning the accident.
...what the fuck is this anyway, it's like I have a placard on my back that reads: 'I'm an easy target, go ahead and fuck me over.' And I will bet anything the woman who hit me was talking on a fucking cell phone to one of her friends about where to meet for lunch...

Re: THE CHITCHAT ARENA
You have the luck of the rabbit in you I guess. Keep that rabbit mantra with you: I will not be rolled over or be an easy target......
I almost ran over two of them last week, don't know how they survived it. Well now I do.
Glad you are okay TgII.

Re: THE CHITCHAT ARENA
The earthquake hit northern Japan registering a '5' (3 here in Tokyo) at 6:54AM this morning Thursday, June 23, according to how Japanese scientists monitor earthquakes. Slight vibration where I am. Although a tsunami warning was given as a precaution there were no tsunamis.
Also, noticed in the US the earthquake was reported as a '6.7', and don't know how they derived that number unless they use a different recording method for these earthquakes.
The earthquake that struck Kobe roughly fifteen years ago registered '6.7' according to the Japanese measuring system and it demolished buildings and destroyed infrastructure.
Discrepancies abound, if the earthquake had in fact been a '6.7' according to how the Japanese measure earthquakes, northern Japan would have suffered severe damage to buildings, roads, rail and bridges.
