William Francis Forbes-Sempill, 19th Lord Sempill (24 September 1893 – 30 December 1965) was a British engineer and traitor [although never prosecuted or brought up on charges under british law] whose information enabled the Japanese to launch the Pearl Harbor raid. Before succeeding his father to the titles of Lord Sempill and Baronet of Craigevar in 1934, he was known by the title Master of Sempill.

Educated at Eton, Sempill was apprenticed to Rolls-Royce in 1910.

In 1921 he led a British deputation to Japan, to assist [HSBC Bank also financed the industry to build weaponry to defeat the Russians in the Sino-Russian War] the Japanese navy in setting up its new air base.

The Directorate of Military Intelligence had kept Sempill's communication with Commander Mitsubishi, Japanese naval attache in London, under surveillance, leading to the knowledge of Sempill passing classified Secret Information to the Japanese, [yet he was never prosecuted] which Mitsubishi indicated in his communication had been paid for. Sempill was called into the Foreign Office for an interview. The questions directed to him were to assess his loyalty to the British Goverment, his attachments to the Japanese, and the amount of information that he had passed to the Japanese. However, during the meeting, the inverstigating officer could not reveal that the British had cracked and were monitoring the Japanese communications systems.

A member of the Conservative Party, Ramsay was elected to the House of Commons in 1931. Over the next few years he developed extreme right-wing political views. A strongly religious man, he became convinced that the Russian Revolution was the start of an international Communist plot to take over the world. In 1935 two secret agents from Nazi Germany established the anti-Semetic Nordic League. The organization was initially known as the White Knights of Britain or the Hooded Men. Ramsay soon emerged as the leader of this organization. The Nordic League was primarily an upper-middle-class association as opposed to the British Union of Fascists that mainly attracted people from the working class.
The Nordic League described itself as "an association of race conscious Britons" and being at the service of "those patriotic bodies known to be engaged in exposing and frustrating the Jewish stranglehold on our Nordic realm. In Nazi Germany the Nordic League was seen as "the British branch of international Nazism".

There was not the smallest doubt that there was an international group of Jews who were behind world revolution in every single country at the present time. That fact a great many people in this country were inclined to pooh pooh, but it was more or less generally accepted over the whole of Europe. Lend to defend the rights of British manhood to die in a foreign quarrel every 25 years. Don't be selfish. Save for shells and slaughter. Forget about the slums, the unemployed, the old age pensioners and other social reforms your money could be invested in. Just remember that your savings are much more wisely spent in the noble cause of death and destruction. Be patriotic. Come on, the first million pounds.

Diamond Jubilee: Queen and Prince William to attend thistle ceremony

The Queen will see Prince William installed as a Knight of the Thistle

Prince William will be installed as a Knight of the Order of the Thistle on the fourth day of the Queen's jubilee celebrations in Scotland.

After a ceremony at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh there will be a parade down the Royal Mile led by 400 pipers.

The ancient Order of the Thistle can only be bestowed by the Queen herself.

The event will be the latest in a series of engagements the monarch is undertaking to mark her 60 years on the throne.

There are currently 16 knights in the order, including Prince William's father and next in line to the throne, Prince Charles.

Thirty-year-old Prince William will be accompanied to the Thistle Chapel ceremony in the cathedral by his wife Kate.

Following the ceremony, there will be a cultural spectacular involving pipers, drummers and dancers travelling down the Royal Mile to the Scottish Parliament building.

The Queen is traditionally in Scotland for Royal Week, but this year it has incorporated celebrations of the Diamond Jubilee.

The monarch has already attended events in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and on Friday she and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit Perth, which was awarded city status to mark the jubilee.
